DANIEL 2

Coloring and Story Guide

STORY TELLING AND COLORING WITH PARENT/TEACHER AND CHILD.

An introduction to Daniel 2 for young children, with coloring pages for interaction with parent and child/children

The story is only a guide and the teacher can find his/her own way to tell the story. Remember, they are children and have short attention spans. The aim here is not to tell the entire story of Daniel 2, but to introduce children to the story, making them familiar with the study of Daniel 2 for later growth through vivid examples, eg, paintings, drawings, ets, to hold their attention.

DANIEL 2

God had a beautiful church He called His Holy Mountain. He loved His people who went to church there, and they loved Him. He warned them of an image not too far away. The image was tall and great and the people who loved that image did not love the word of God. That image was very old and was there soon after the world began. The image prevented the world from hearing God’s words, and supported many bad kingdoms. The bad kingdoms were called, Babylon, Medo Persia, Grecia, and Rome. God grew very tired of this great image and one day He cut a stone out of the mountain and struck the image. And the image was destroyed forever. And the world was free to hear the word of God. And all the people joined God’s church. And God’s mountain church became the only kingdom. And it grew and grew, and filled the whole earth.

After reading the story, then you can show them the colors of the image so they can follow, and color their own sample of the image. They can color the church and other areas of the drawings in the color they choose..
